Soon as we got a Democrat in the White House, a bunch of Senators claiming to be Democrats rushed to show how independent they are, declaring they won’t necessarily vote in support of the President’s agenda that he was elected to enact. As a Hoosier, I’ll put Indiana’s Evan Bayh (pronounced “Bye” or “Buy”) at the top of the list.
Mr. Obama is right to allow politicians to vote their “consciences” (oxymoron is obvious). Where he’s wrong is in promising to raise money for them. I won’t give one penny to support ANY Senator who fails to toe the line and earnestly help the President do what he promised. Many promises were made. If they’re not kept because Democrats in the Senate support powerful banks and other lobbies against the people who support Mr. Obama’s agenda, then Bayh-Bayh to them come the primary.
If self-described Democrats in the Senate refuse to push through the President’s agenda, then it’s up to us to FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL. I won’t give money to or raise money for Evan Bayh or Arlen Spector or any of the approximately eight others who have declared themselves “independent” of this cause.
They want our money and votes only to betray us to the powerful lobbyists who own them. We need to start work right now finding better people to run against them in the primaries and start raising the money they’ll need to win.
We kept McCain and Palin out of the White House. We certain can put Bayh, Specter and those other eight “independent” Democrats OUT of the Senate. CHANGE is coming to America.

There has been a significant decline in private donations that InnVision collects to fund the salaries of the Hotel de Zink night supervisors and case workers. InnVision is now turning to the faith community for help in raising the remaining $70,000 to $80,000 needed for this program this year. InnVision must also raise funds for the many other shelters, transitional housing units, low-cost housing units and other services it provides, but it will work with us on a special campaign for Hotel de Zink.
Today, I watched the inauguration several times. I was so excited to see that Barack had finally become the President of the United States. I watched the big parade afterwards and even took notes on his speech so I could remember it forever.
We finally have a Democrat for President and we need to do something that will help others in the economy we have today. People are losing jobs, stock values, and most of all money. They need our help so try to raise as much money as you can to donate to our newest President. Today, I sent several more invitations and I want to raise at least $50.

The Obama fund raising campaign by Returned Peace Corps Volunteers from the first group to begin training for the Peace Corps -- COLOMBIA ONE (June 1961) -- exceeded its target. In addition, many of those who contributed, and many who did not, made other donations as individuals and through other groups.
Muchas gracias to all of you who through donations and other activities helped elect Senator Obama. I believe that all of us, including those who did not vote for him, look forward to a more enlightened and effective foreign policy and an end to military intervention based on manipulated “intelligence.”
The results of Colombia One fund raising campaign for Barack Obama are:
Fund Raising goal: $1,000
Amount donated: $1,180

Hey, I'm real glad Barack Obama won and everything, I'm sure he is going to be a great president and he has my support, but would the campaign PLEASE STOP ASKING FOR MONEY EVERY FRIGGING DAY! You have already raised what I consider abhorrant amounts of money. How much more do you need??? Give it a break. It's annoying and might actually turn alot of people off. Please, get out of our faces and let us breath, for crying out loud! Thank you!
My very best regards,
fatngassy
3 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD DONATE
Thanks so much to all who have donated to this incredible movement through my grassroots fundraising page! LINK http://my.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/main/TCP
95 donations have been made so far. Please help me reach my goal of 100 donations.
We’ve been through a lot together. From before the primaries, when we were down in the polls, didn't have may endorsements and no one gave us much of a chance; to Barack’s awesome Iowa victory; through the grueling primary contests; and on through this general election campaign, we’ve seen it all. Now we’re just hours away from the big prize and we can’t afford to let up.
We're seeing a surge of support in states we didn't expect to be close contests, including Virginia, North Carolina and even Georgia and North Dakota. These latest battlegrounds present a major opportunity.
Volunteers and staff are on the move in these new battleground states, and if we can provide them with the right support, they could put us over the top. We can't take anything for granted, and this election is too important to ignore any potential path to victory.
Please dig just a little deeper and make one final donation right now to help us change the electoral map, and bring a real change to our country. LINK http://my.barackobama.com/page/outreach/view/main/TCP
In these final days we have to take the fight to our opponents everywhere we can.
Thanks again!
OUR MOMENT IS NOW!
I have always voted, but I’ve never taken action for a cause or candidate I believed in. I’ve been a passive participant in my own democracy. I have never donated money to a political campaign and I always felt too shy to talk to friends about politics. Until now. This country needs change desperately and I have more faith in Barack Obama than I have ever had in a political candidate. Not only do I believe in the change he can effect, but he’s also made me believe in the change I can effect. It’s not a new concept, “Be the change you wish to see in the world”, but he’s inspired in me that’s it actually possible. Not only is it possible, it’s our duty. I feel blessed to have political freedom and access to information that has led me to supporting Barack Obama as president. I’ve also found the courage to talk to friends and family about becoming involved, whether it’s financially, volunteering, or simply knowing the issues and where the candidates stand on them. And while the $75 I raised on my personal fundraising page for Barack Obama is small, it is also great in that it shows my growth as someone who speaks up and out and asks other people to help effect change. Because Barack Obama has shown me, not only “Yes We Can”, but also, “Yes, I Can!” For Us.
Once again, I've got some very good news to share with you all! I've been able to reached my $5,000 personal fundraising goal for Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden last week. As of this point in time, I've raised over $13,000. Like I said last week, I never thought I would be able to raise over $5,000 on my fundraising page, much less, reach my goal before the deadline that was last week.
I would like to thank all of those that have donated to my personal fundraising page on BarackObama.com because it means so much to me, and I'm sure it means a lot to Senator Obama and Senator Biden. I wish that there was something more that I could say. But, I believe I have two thank you gifts that you might enjoy:
Again, I want to once again thank everyone for their support and donations! If you still want to make a donation to my personal fundraising page, please feel free to. Just go to my.barackobama.com/asherheimermann and make your donation there. It would be great to see this community community help me get up to $15,000 before Election Day.
Right now, I'm at the Sheboygan County Democratic Headquarters making calls and putting together lawn signs. I don't have much time to talk this afternoon but I will try to come back this evening. But in the meantime, will you please make a donation to my personal fundraising page to help me reach a grand total of $15,000? If you can't make a donation, please share this with your friends and family and ask them to make a donation. Not only will you help me get closer to raising $15,000 - you are also helping Senator Obama and Senator Biden.

My husband, Willy and good friends, Alex and Fumiko, hosted a fundraising stoop sale this past weekend and raised $1238.75! We were so happy to do it and exceeded our goal of $1000.
The donation was posted yesterday and we're hoping that it helps in the final push for these last 2 weeks.
Last week I sent out an email entitled,"Obama Leads in KY Donations." The article referred to how Barack is beating "that one" in donations received. We have fifteen days left before election day, but money is still needed because there will more ads and campaign stops. In fact, Bill Clinton is scheduled to come to Kentucky to campaign for Barack.
If you have not already donated to the campaign this month, please do so today on my fundraising page: http://my.barackobama.com/page/outreach/preview/main/Lizforobama
Let's make sure we do all we can to guarantee that Barack will be our next President. Thanks for all you've done so far.
Barack Obama smashed doubled his own fund raising record of $67 million in August by raising more than $150 million in September 2008. The campaign said 632,000 people made their first donation to Obama in September, and the average contribution was less than $100.
According to the Washington Post, "3.1 million donors have contributed to Obama's campaign, which has raised more than $575 million through the primaries and general-election campaign. Veteran campaign finance experts called the September effort staggering, noting that Obama raised on average more than $200,000 an hour. 'He has just completely changed the scale of presidential fundraising,' said Anthony Corrado."
While Obama did not take money from the U.S. Treasury, McCain helped himself to $84 million of tax payer money. As the margin grows between funding raised by motivated Democrats and disaffected Republicans, McCain is pressing on with a mis-information campaign (go figure) that accuses Obama's donors, most of whom who are Americans gave less than $200, as somehow tainted. “It’s laying a predicate for the future that can be very dangerous,” Mr. McCain said on “Fox News Sunday.” “History shows us where unlimited amounts of money are in political campaigns, it leads to scandal” according to the NY Times. Mr McCain: Please tell us how an individual contribution of $200 or less will influence a politician???
Here is the Republican line of attack... Obama is scary, Obama's donors are scary, Obama palls around with scary friends, Obama will do scary things in Iraq, having Democrats lead the nation is scary, the economy is scary (too bad McCain is a self-admitted economic moron), its a scary, scary, scary world... and Halloween is just days away!!!! Vote for John McCain and he will be your binky and wubber to keep you safe.
Back to the funding raising thing (geez, I scared myself)... it was just a couple years ago that Republicans were saying money is equivelent to free speech, and you can't restrict free speech, so there should not be any restrictions for individual campaign donations. As in Orwell's Animal Farm, "all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." From the Republican prespective, we all have equal opportunity for exercising our political free speech rights, but some more affluent donors have louder voices than those with modest means.
I think it is wonderful that Obama may think he owes some policial favors to the 3,000,000 U.S. citizens who, despites their modest means, contributed $200 or less expecting Obama to look at for their interests, much like the Republicans candidates who took millions of $ from thier fat-cat oil, banking, Wall Street, and lobbyist friends expecting their quid pro quo; Charles Ketting and John McCain are a good example of how large campaign contributions corrupt.
