If you have ever doubted that what you were doing for Students for Barack Obama wasn't important, or even acknowledged, watch this clip below from Dan Rather Reports. Your contributions are not only appreciated within the campaign, they are being noticed and applauded by outside observers.
This 10 minute segment focuses on the Obama campaign's successful outreach to the youth of America. The report highlights how Camp Obama is run, what are the goals of the Camp and the goals for Students for Barack Obama. Interviewed in the segment are Jocelyn Woodards, the director of Camp Obama, Mary Hodge, Deputy Youth Vote Director, Sean Eldridge and Tobin Van Ostern of Students for Barack Obama, as well as individuals who have participated in the Camp.
The relevant information starts around 44 minutes into the clip:

Some of the highlights of the video:
"Youth vote has been an after thought to most campaigns in modern American politics because young people haven't turned out to vote in big numbers. But the Obama campaign is trying to change that."
"Every campaign I've ever been on they say they take us seriously, but really they just take us seriously that they want us to bring volunteers and stuff envelopes. This[campaign], we are targeting different college campuses, we are building lists, [and] we are expecting these students to come out and vote."
"Everyone's gonna come out with a health care plan; everyone's gonna try to get us out of Iraq, but the question is who's going to invest the political capital to get it done. Who's going to be able to go into the white house and really push congress and push Congress and pus the American people to make tough decisions, and I think we trust that Obama does."
