Gator Fan Issues Challenge to Noles

Little did I ever know that this Die Hard Gator Fan would be joining forces with a bunch of Nole Fans, but we are in this together, so PLEASE HEED MY WARNING! In 2000, Gore was winning FL by a landslide (and yes, we all know he really did win FL), but because of the broadcasts on CNN and other major networks, Dems in the pan handle took this for granted and sat their butts at home because they didn't think Gore needed their vote: WRONG! The same is true in this election. I PROMISE YOU, Obama is going to take a very early lead in the state, and while we're all voting like crazy and driving everyone to the polls in Gainesville, you'll be hearing in the news about the FL Landslide for Obama. Don't forget 2000! As a Gator Fan, I DARE you to beat our turn out! Now, I already know the Gators are gonna kick your asses, but I'm begging you to beat us in this in this challenge: PLEASE PEOPLE, THIS IS NOT A GAME! Take my challenge to heart and get every single Obama supporter in Nole Country to get out there and VOTE!
GO GATORS, GOBAMA, and Please... rub it in my face on election day with a big GO NOLES: EARN YOUR BRAGGING RIGHT AT THE POLLS!!!! If I can do anything to help from Gainesville, I'm at your service!

In response to the question of Joe Biden being qualified McCain says “I think Joe Biden is qualified in many respects…but I do point out that he’s been wrong on many foreign policy and national security issues which is supposed to be his strength. He voted against the first Gulf War. He voted against it and obviously we had to take Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait or it would have threatened the middle eastern oil supply.”

Woah, did I hear that right? Desert Storm wasn’t about helping the people in Kuwait?

Again, what McCain (not "my friend") said:

“OBVIOUSLY WE HAD TO TAKE SADDAM HUSSEIN OUT OF KUWAIT OR IT WOULD HAVE THREATENED THE MIDDLE EASTERN OIL SUPPLY.”

OOPSIE! McCain let one slip out...

The Accused

Watching the recent McCain/Palin rallies reminds me of the Jodie Foster movie "The Accused" where the attorney charges a group of men for contributing to the commission of a crime (rape) by yelling, chanting, and creating an atmosphere of peer pressure and mob mentality… but in this case, McCain and Palin are the ones guilty of deliberately leading people to form false conclusions (implying Obama is a terrorist), creating a frenzy of hate, and when the words “terrorist” and “kill him” are yelled, they smile with great pride at their achievement and continue to work the crowd; however, this is not a movie, and the people screaming these comments are not actors.

I understand neither McCain nor Palin graduated at the top of their class, and while they might try to pass this off as "politics as usual," they can't be THAT stupid. I'm sure they both know exactly what this sort of thing can lead to. This is irresponsible, reckless, and dangerous behavior. Unfortunately, I don't expect either of them to stop. Like many in the Bush Administration, Palin behaves like she's above the law (refusing to testify in Trooper-Gate), but her recent campaign trail stunts are beginning to lead me to the conclusion that this "Good Christian Hockey Mom" has convinced herself she’s above God’s law as well: The 9th Commandment (Thou shalt not bear false witness). For everyone's sake, I hope these stunts just alert voters as to how low these two will sink to win an election, as the other outcome that I fear and dare not say is completely unacceptable in a civilized society, yet if it were to happen, I will always remember McCain and Palin's participation in that crime.
